A Canter Safari is a shared wildlife safari in a larger, open-sided vehicle that carries up to 16 guests. It is the classic way for day visitors to experience Dhikala, the heart of Corbett Tiger Reserve, and an easy, affordable choice for solo travellers, families and groups who don't need a private jeep.

Canter Dhikala Zone Safari Booking Terms
Canter safari booking opens 45 days in advance
Canter safari is available only in the morning and evening timings
Once booked, a canter safari cannot be rescheduled to another day or time
Once booked, the names on a canter safari booking cannot be changed
Tourists must carry their personal ID during the Dhikala canter safari, as it is checked at the time of entry
Before You Go
- Mobile phone use during the safari is prohibited — carry a printed copy of your permit along with a valid ID
- Canter safari amounts are non-refundable
- Foreign nationals must provide passport details at the time of booking
- Day visits to Dhikala are currently open from 15 November to 15 June and closed during the monsoon
- Do not get down from the vehicle at any point during the safari
- Safaris may be cancelled or suspended by the Forest Department due to weather, safety or other unforeseen reasons
- Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed
